HORSE ROUTES IN MALAGA
From 711 to 1492, Muslims invaded what is now Spain, except for some northern territories. During these eight centuries all kinds of conflicts and wars occurred, mainly between Muslims and Christians. The Christian kingdoms of Hispania were Castilla, León, Aragón and Navarra. The Muslim territories were divided into ‘Taifas’, and were the Caliphate of Córdoba and the kingdoms of Granada and Valencia. This border area that we are going to cross was one of the most problematic and was disputed for centuries and, therefore, there are a large number of castles, defense and surveillance towers. Travel back in time and live the experience of horseback riding in the Middle Ages.

Our horseback riding excursions are designed for experienced riders and horsewomen in good physical shape. It is necessary to be in good physical shape and have a balanced seat that is independent of your hands in all gaits to be able to comfortably enjoy numerous hours in the saddle and personal racing routes.
In the mountains we modify our riding speed depending on the topography. From time to time, we lead the horses on longer, steeper, more difficult uphill and downhill stretches.
Our horseback riding routes are strenuous and can involve long days of travel. So 90kg is the maximum rider weight (please contact us if it is exceeded). We want to emphasize the fact that all riding programs require that you have the physical fitness and knowledge necessary to ride a horse.
